With over 40 years of industry experience, Mike Frain has done work across the spectrum of the title insurance business ranging from examining titles to serving as District Manager for a major underwriter. He currently serves as Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC), and National Commercial Title Services (NCTS) Sales Representative for the NCTS Chicago operation.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. While building a successful career and helping to raise his family of four children, Mike’s high energy, deep knowledge of the title and escrow industry and reputation for outstanding customer service positioned him for a highly successful career in national commercial business development.
Residing with his wife in the far western suburbs of Chicago, Mike is an avid painter, reader and physical fitness enthusiast.
Steve Hartschuh serves as Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC) and Commercial Account Manager for the National Commercial Title Services (NCTS) Chicago operation. He has a wealth of business development experience within top national commercial and consumer brands.
Steve’s role at Old Republic Title builds upon his strengths and includes account management responsibilities for major law firms, developers, lenders and REITs. He has extensive experience in commercial real estate transactions involving multi-site, multi-state projects; Student Housing; Senior Living facilities; and Office REITs. Steve understands the needs and expectations of national customers and has the knowledge and ability to service them at the highest level.
Steve graduated from Indiana University while also playing four years for the Hoosiers Big Ten baseball team. He is a member of the Real Estate Investment Association (REIA), Chicago Real Estate Council (CREC), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Metropolitan Planning Council. In his free time, Steve likes to unwind by playing basketball, platform tennis (paddleball) and spending time with his wife, two daughters and walking his dog (Boomer) in Hinsdale, Illinois.
Terry is Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC) and Commercial Sales Representative for the National Commercial Title Services (NCTS) Chicago office. He has been engaged in the national title insurance business for over 30 years. During that time, he has been involved in some of the largest and most sophisticated real estate transactions in the country. Terry has extensive experience in working with REIT’s, law firms, lenders, developers and investors in all segments of the commercial real estate business.
Terry has a degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University. Terry is a past president of several organizations including the Chicago Real Estate Council, the Commerce Alumni Association at the University of Illinois and the Union League Club of Chicago. He resides in Park Ridge Illinois, has two daughters and four granddaughters.
Austin Wayne serves as a Business Development Officer for the National Commercial Title Services (NCTS) Chicago operation. He works in close collaboration with the Chicago team of highly respected and responsive national underwriters, title and settlement professionals who can skillfully handle the multi-faceted requirements for commercial transactions spanning business segments and markets nationwide.
Austin is a member of the REAL Professionals Network. His sales and marketing experience, combined with his strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and positive and proactive disposition, make him an exceptional partner for Old Republic Title customers and NCTS service delivery teams.
In his free time, Austin enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to new places, and is a sports enthusiast that loves to play volleyball, basketball, and golf. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management as well as a Master’s Degree in Health Administration.
Walter (“Walt”) Schwabe serves as Account Executive for the National Commercial Title Services (NCTS) New Jersey operation. Walt has extensive knowledge of both residential and commercial real estate transactions gleaned from his career of more than 25 years in business development services for the title industry.
Joining the Old Republic Title family in 2014, Walt has successfully served customers through underwriter branch office locations and title agency operations in local markets. In his current role with NCTS, he is responsible for growing commercial business relationships and facilitating service delivery to customers.
Walt is known for his responsiveness and team-oriented approach to helping create innovative solutions for the unique requirements that are often a part of real estate transactions. He has been an active member of the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association, New Jersey Chapter (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties). In his leisure time, Walt enjoys spending time with family, fishing, golfing, and biking.
Ray serves as Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC) and Manager of the National Commercial Title Services (NCTS) Los Angeles office. He is responsible for expanding Old Republic’s national footprint as a superior provider of commercial title services, with concentration in Los Angeles and the greater southern California area.
Ray joined Old Republic Title in 2016 bringing over 30 years of experience in the commercial title and escrow industry. His unique talents in business development, understanding commercial transactions and anticipating and proactively responding to the needs of customers have positioned the NCTS Los Angeles office as a recognized resource for title and settlement services within the industry.
Ray is a native of Los Angeles where he resides with his family. Known affectionately by many as “Coach”, Ray has given back to the local community and its football program by serving as head coach and liaison for over 14 years. He also served as an appointed Board of Directors member for the program for more than 6 years. Today in his free time, Ray enjoys cooking for his family, listening to podcasts, hiking and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Maribel Sandoval is a Business Development Officer for the National Commercial Title Services (NCTS) Los Angeles operation. She began her career in the residential real estate arena in 2010 and joined the title industry in 2016, where her focus is the commercial customer sector.
Maribel is passionate about helping people and consistently delivering excellent service. In her present role, she is responsible for growing commercial business relationships and working with her accomplished title, escrow and underwriting team members to facilitate service delivery. Her strong communication skills, positive, solutions-oriented approach, attention to detail and follow-through make her a valued service partner to Old Republic Title customers.
While not at work, Maribel enjoys hiking, gardens, photography, reading historical novels and global travel.
Michael Atkins is Senior Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC) and Sales Representative, National Commercial Title Services (NCTS). Based in New York City, Michael manages many of Old Republic’s major national commercial institutional, development and private investor relationships including family offices. With 20 years of experience in the title insurance industry, Michael brings a deep expertise in guiding complex single asset and multi-billion dollar portfolio transactions in conjunction with the national team.
Michael is a Foundation Governor of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and helps shape many of ULI’s strategic initiatives and events in New York and nationally. He also acts as advisor to CrowdStreet, a leading investment platform in the commercial real estate industry. Michael's academic background includes Fulbright and Rotary Ambassadorial scholarships at the Graduate School of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, where Michael earned Master’s degrees in International Economics and Law. He is the founder and President of the Graduate School’s New York Alumni Chapter. Michael completed Bachelor’s Degrees with Summa Cum Laude honors at the University of North Texas, and also holds graduate certificates in International Business and Finance from New York University. Michael is married and lives in Manhattan with his son, daughter, dog and bass guitar.
Jasmine Hahn brings a wealth of experience in both title insurance and real estate law to Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC), serving in her role as Attorney and Sales Representative for the National Commercial Title Services (NCTS) New York operation. Collaborating closely with the Old Republic Title team, Jasmine specializes in closing complex commercial real estate transactions throughout the country. She maintains a keen focus on consistently providing customers with superior service throughout every aspect of the transaction process for each project.
Jasmine began her career in title insurance over 35 years ago as an independent title closer. In 1994-1998 she attended New York Law School while still working full-time as a title closer. Jasmine graduated law school with honors and was admitted to the New York State Bar (NYSB). She is currently a member of the NYSBA Real Property Law Section, the NYC Bar Association, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), and serves on the Committee on Condominiums and Cooperatives and the Title and Transfer Committee at the NYSBA.
Michael Samuel is Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC) and Senior National Transaction Representative for the National Commercial Title Services (NCTS) New York operation. Drawing on his more than 40 years of experience in the title insurance industry, Michael works closely with national customers and serves as their liaison to Old Republic Title’s outstanding underwriting, title and escrow service teams on transactional matters.
Michael began his career as a title abstractor while attending college at the University of California, Berkeley. Following graduation, he advanced his knowledge and career in the title insurance industry by assuming new roles and relocating from the West Coast to New York. Today in his leisure time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, working on personal finance and investment projects, and participating in community service activities.
