Old Republic Title Acquires Surety Title Agency

Old Republic National Title Insurance Company has acquired Utah-based Surety Title Agency (Surety). The transaction took place July 1, 2019, adding two Surety offices and 19 employees to Old Republic Title’s existing local network of direct and agency operations.

Surety is a full-service title insurance agency that provides a comprehensive range of services, including: title reports, title commitments, title insurance policies and escrow closing services for commercial and residential real estate transactions. The agency works with Utah’s residential builders and commercial developers, and handles mortgage refinance and settlement transactions for homeowners, buyers and sellers.

“Surety has a great reputation for quality work and a history of dedicated service in the real estate community,” says Carolyn Monroe, President, Old Republic National Title Holding Company. “We are confident in their capabilities and in the strong cultural match we have identified between our organizations. We are pleased to welcome Surety to the Old Republic Title family.” Curtis Hoffman, Old Republic Title’s Central Title Division President, adds, “This acquisition helps meet Surety’s succession planning and business objectives.”

“Our team is excited to be part of Old Republic Title’s Rocky Mountain Region, continuing to serve customers from our existing offices at: 9978 South Redwood Road, South Jordan, Utah; and 240 North East Promontory, Farmington, Utah,” notes Jeff Worthington, Surety’s former President, now a Branch Manager at Old Republic Title. Surety is in the process of rebranding and changing its name to Old Republic Title.
