Old Republic Title is pleased to announce that, effective March 1, 2017, Roger Gaio was promoted to Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Old Republic Title Insurance Group. In addition, he was appointed Executive Vice President of ORNTIC and joined the Title Group's 12-member Executive Leadership Team. He reports to Mark Bilbrey, President, Old Republic National Title Holding Company, and his office remains in Minneapolis.
Roger has been Interim CIO since September 1, 2016, when he replaced Rob Chapman, former CIO for the Title Group. At that time, Rob assumed new IT-related responsibilities for Old Republic International Corporation (ORI) and continued to manage the Old Republic Title Tech Companies, Inc.
As Interim CIO, Roger has been managing the Company's Minneapolis, MN, and Roseville, CA, based Information Technology (IT) organizations. He capably has led them in: planning, developing, evaluating and coordinating the information and technology services for the Title Group. As CIO, he assumes full management responsibility over IT personnel, products and services, policies, objectives, business plans and budgets.
Roger has a master's degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He is a seasoned IT professional, having worked in the IT industry for more than 35 years. Prior to joining the Company in 2003, he worked for an international computer hardware company in technical, sales and management roles, and worked for a number of consulting firms, managing and delivering consulting and technical services.
He joined the Company in Minneapolis as Senior Project Manager and has advanced steadily ever since, earning successive promotions throughout his career. In December 2004, he was appointed Assistant Vice President of ORNTIC and, a year later, he became a Network & Infrastructure Manager for IT. He was appointed Vice President of ORNTIC and promoted to Director of Information Technology & Chief Technology Officer in February 2009. In September 2009, he was appointed First Vice President of ORNTIC, followed by an appointment to Senior Vice President of ORNTIC in May 2015.
