Old Republic Title is pleased to announce that Tyler Stoehr, Underwriting Counsel, Rocky Mountain Region, has been promoted to Vice President, ORNTIC, Colorado State Manager and Counsel.
Tyler assumes this position as David Stubbs, Vice President, ORNTIC, has transitioned to a commercial underwriting role, focusing on large, complex, commercial transactions and serving the needs of commercial agents throughout the Central Title Division.
In his new role, Tyler will oversee Old Republic Title’s agency and underwriting operations in Colorado. Tyler, together with Ken Bassham, Assistant Vice President, ORNTIC, and Senior Underwriter, will continue to provide dedicated underwriting support to Old Republic Title’s Colorado agency business. Additionally, Tyler will provide training and education on timely industry topics, participate in the training and development of a junior underwriter, and serve as a representative of Old Republic Title in the Land Title Association of Colorado.
Tyler joined our Company in 2014 as Underwriting Counsel, supporting Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming. His ties to the real estate industry run deep. Both his father and grandfather were real estate brokers in Denver. Prior to joining Old Republic Title, Tyler practiced law in Salt Lake City, primarily working in title insurance defense litigation. Before entering private law practice, he clerked for the Honorable Chief Justice Matthew B. Durrant at the Utah Supreme Court. In addition to being a Colorado lawyer, Tyler is licensed to practice law in Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming.
Tyler earned his Juris Doctor degree from Brigham Young University and a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Utah. He is a member of the Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming Bars and active in the Colorado and Utah Land Title Associations and the Real Estate section of the Colorado Bar.
