All Things Solar

Instructor: Ginger Unger, CCIM Real Estate Instructor
Provider: 9810-CEP
Price: $20 (Optional CE)
CE Credit Hours: 2
Date: April 15, 2026
Time: 10:00AM -12:00PM

Course Description:

Upon completion of the "All Things Solar" two-hour course, real estate agents will be able to identify key components of
residential solar photovoltaic systems, including panels, inverters, meters, and battery storage options, and distinguish between
grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid setups common in homes.

Agents will evaluate ownership models such as outright purchase, financing, leases, and power purchase agreements (PPAs),
recognizing associated transaction risks like liens, transferability issues, and buyer qualification challenges through document
review and seller questioning.

Participants will assess buyer and seller risks and rewards, including potential bill savings, resale value impacts, roof condition concerns, system maintenance, and market perception in high-utility-cost Texas regions, while applying basic valuation principles and appraiser documentation needs. Finally, agents will construct due-diligence checklists, incorporate appropriate Texas contract addenda and disclosure language for solar as real or personal property, and develop targeted listing intake questions to mitigate transaction delays and liability.
